Poland, Ukraine, Israel, Iraq. Paweł Smoleński writes down history that is happening “now,” in front of our eyes. In his reportage books he takes on difficult topics and gives voice to those who are not afraid to talk about them out loud. To paint the picture of a nation, the author reaches into the fate of specific people, to the individual – often painful – experience: the meeting of man and History.
