THIS HORRIBLE POLAND? – LIDIA OSTAŁOWSKA
In her reportage collection “Bolało jeszcze bardziej” Lidia Ostałowska talks about one protagonist. It is Poland B. Unwanted, lost, badly dressed, suffering from post-abortion syndrome. It is a complaint from people who are not getting by. Ostałowska remains a witness, not a judge. In the background of this book we also find a priceless story about us and our social insensitivity.
Lidia Ostałowska | Author of reportages about those, for whom it is more difficult – about national and ethnic minorities, about women, about youth from subcultures, about the excluded, and also co-author of many reportage collections. 2011 featured the publishing of “Farby wodne,” reportage book (nominated for the Nike Literary Award and the Gwarancje Kultury Award).
