The GCK is a self-governed cultural institution established in 1982. It organises festivals, reviews, concerts, and art workshops of national and international relevance.

On September 18th-27th 2015 Gorlice and Szymbark will be hosting the first edition of the Zygmunt Haupt Festival. The program includes topical and auteur meetings, a monodrama, readings, an exhibition, concerts, and a film screening. Admission to all events is free.
