“Pająki pana Roberta” is an incredible mashup: an arachnological-philosophical treatise, at the same time a record of environmental considerations of an inhabitant of the wilderness, who observes how the world around him changes season by season. Mister Robert has settled in a hut by the forest. Reading works by great scholars he discovers that even though spiders can be found quite often in literature, there is little truth about these creatures there. This is why he decides to write his own book, to – as he puts it – fill the ditch between humanistic sciences and natural science.
