ZYGMUNT HAUPT. MYSTICISM – MANNERISM – MODERNISM
Zygmunt Haupt was a particular author, a writer akin to none other. He had no masters, no pupils, no epigones. In spite of this, literary theory seeks more and more names, more “isms” to describe him, classify him, name him. The goal of the meetings is to take on this challenge and simultaneously point to those characteristics of Haupt’s work which make him resist any classification. What will also be discussed is whether Haupt ought to be considered a forgotten writer or an underestimated one.
