Artur Szlosarek is an author of quiet poems, gladly using long, calm phrases, a poet who boldly takes on dialogue with the traditions of European literature and philosophy. Restless poetry that balances between emotionality and the will for discourse, poetry that poses questions and doesn’t count on easy answers.
Artur Szlosarek | Poet, translator. His debut poetry volume “Wiersze napisane” was released in 1991. Some of the works he has published are: “Popiół i miód,” “Camera obscura,” “List do ściany,” “Pod obcym niebem,” “Ołówek rzeźnika.” His poetry has been translated to English, German, French, Swedish, Bulgarian, Czech, and Slovak. Has received scholarships from the Berlin Academy of Arts, the Robert Borch Foundation, the Polish Minister of Culture. Winner of the Kościelski Foundation Award.
