Writer of prose, essayist, author of radio broadcasts, literary critic. Director of the literary department at “Kurier Szczeciński.” Works with “Teatr,” “Pogranicza,” and “Twórczość” magazines. Awarded the Artistic Award of the City of Szczecin (2000) and the Władysław and Nelli Turzański Foundation Award (2013), nominated for the Nike Award (“Eine kleine” 2001, “Capcarap” 2009) and the European Union Literary Prize (“Mariasz” 2009). Deals in the history of Pomerania, and the German past of Szczecin in the context of Polish-German history.
