JURIJ ANDRUCHOWYCZ
Poet, writer of prose, essayist, translator. Founder of the Bu-Ba-Bu poetry group. In 2014 Paweł Smoleński held an extensive interview with him, titled “Szcze ne wmerła i nie umrze.” He had three novels published in Poland (including “Dwanaście kręgów,” which won him the Leipzig Book Fair Award and the Angelus Central European Literature Award), tomes of essays and poetry. With the music group Karbido he has recorded the albums “Samogon,” “Cynamon,” and “Absinthe,” as well as “Andruchoid” with M. Trzaska, W. Mazolewski, and M. Moretti. Author of translations from Polish, German, and Russian. Lives in Ivano-Frankivsk.
